It's a good instructional tape. There is enough content here that you can spend months of your life mastering this skill. But will you ever use it? Probably not. You probably never will need to throw a playing card for distance.
The DVD has the standard training video you get on every throwing DVD. It's very similar to a regular football coaching tape, but the different thing is that it's just not that useful. You hear a lot of things like: you should bend your elbow back to throw the card, be sure to keep your wrist relaxed, etc., etc., and that's about it. Some of that is actually useful, but the rest is kind of useless.
You get a lot of good technique information, with all the throwing DVDs. I think this is great. Practicing to a tape is the best way to learn, and that's what this gives you. The good thing about this DVD is that you get to learn without having to buy a whole arsenal of equipment.
Watching the video at home or watching it on YouTube isn't the same as watching it live. The technique and the execution are all there in the video, but you really feel the force of the throw. There is a ton of repetition that builds the arm strength, and the technique is executed perfectly. The video is almost like watching a clockwork mechanism in action.
The tricks are high quality and look really impressive. If you've never seen a professional card thrower use cards (or in this case, throw cards), it's a totally different experience and you'll see why magicians use cards so much. It adds that extra something, a bit of flair that's hard to replicate in a trick or routine.
I am running a PC with Windows 7 and Adobe Photoshop CS6. I am wondering how to end the trial period and convert to a full copy of Photoshop CS6. I tried closing down Photoshop, which produced a message telling me to return the disk. I did that, but the same message returned. How can I end this?
Hi Dave,I was able to get my English Indesign CS6 to switch to German. But there is one Problem. The moment I startet Indesign there is the error message that my trial version ends soon altough I bougt a regular Version with correct serial number by an adobe seller. Can anybody help me? 827ec27edc
